hexafluoride 24,000 times stronger as a greenhouse gas than CO2.
The windmill generates high voltage electricity. Inside the mill, arcing in the air (for example lightning) can cause a short circuit. The interior space is filled with the gas sulfur hexafluoride which acts as an insulator; Inhaling sulfur hexafluoride is unsafe because the gas is so heavy that it can get stuck in the lungs and cause suffocation. This gas slowly leaks out of the mill and is 24,000 times stronger as a greenhouse gas than CO2. The windmill has to be built because of the reduction of CO2, but the cure is worse than the disease. The EIA makes no mention of this. ''
